Pricing Policy

The prices in Belgium Francs are set by the manufacturer Ford, and may be updated without notice, but in general tend to remain static for several months. The prices in UK sterling are a direct conversion from the Belgium Franc, and fluctuate daily with the currency exchange rate. For this reason this page is updated daily so that you always have the current UK prices to hand. If you would like to check the exchange rate yourself simply click on the following link, not forgetting to bookmark this page first. www.oanda.com/convert/

It is very unlikely that a substantial price rise from Ford will occur in the very near future. Once the deposit has been received, the price is fixed and increases will no longer affect your order.

The preferred method of payment is in Belgium Francs by Bank-to-Bank transfer to our Nat West foreign currency account, we do not accept credit card payment on the large sums involved due to the much higher bank charges that this incurs, costs which must eventually be passed onto you the customer.

For the remaining 85% balance we recommend you make a 'Forward Exchange Contract ' with your bank. This means agreeing with your bank to effectively fix the exchange rate at the current rate until it is time to pay the 85% balance, thus you will know exactly what you have to pay. An equally good alternative is to store the money in a UK bank 'Foreign Currency Account '. UK Banks will be happy to set this up a at no charge provided the amount is greater than £1000, although the interest rate will probably be less than that from your existing account. This will guard against currency fluctuations while you await delivery, then you will make the second payment direct to Belgium, in Belgium Francs.

The prices in British Sterling are only printed as a guide and you should ask your bank their policy on exchange rates, as they may offer a slightly lower rate instead of charging commission. Thus the information is indicative and cannot be used as a binding contract.

'Home Delivery '
If it is not convenient to collect the car from Leigh-on-Sea personally, then home delivery can be arranged to anywhere in the UK except Northern Ireland. This is optional, and it is best arranged when your vehicle is delivered to the Brugge Garage. Delivery is by transporter lorry, discount is usually available for multiple vehicles, and payment is required on delivery.
