When you are ready to order go to the 'Order Form' and place your order online. This is not considered a binding contract until accompanied by a deposit. If you do not like sending information over the net, call our Bristol office & we will be happy to take your order over the phone.
We will confirm your order, the price, and the delivery period by post depending on your media facilities. If you are happy with the order, all your details are correct and you would like to proceed, then sign and return it along with formal identification in the form of a photocopy of your Passport or Drivers License, and we will issue you an invoice, and our Nat West Bank Account details for the deposit.
Pay the 15% deposit, by bank to bank transfer in Belgium Francs, your bank should be happy to arrange this for you. Go to the 'Price List' page for more information and our policy on payment methods.
The price will be fixed as of the day that you make the deposit. Once we have received your deposit the contract becomes mutually binding, and you will receive confirmation in writing when the deposit has entered our bank account.
The price will be fixed in Belgium Francs not British Sterling, thus you may wish to arrange a 'Forward Exchange Contract', or 'Foreign Currency Account' with your bank for the remaining 85% balance of payment, to insulate you from exchange rate fluctuations. This does not include VAT which will be paid in British Sterling.
Waiting time for Ford to deliver the car of your specification, generally 16 - 22 weeks depending on the model.
You will receive confirmation when the car has arrived at the Brugge Ford Garage in Belgium, when the 85% balance of payment will be due in Belgium Francs, prior to vehicle registration and shipping to the UK.
Option 1: Collection from the UK.
Once you have made the balance of payment, the car complete with a certificate of conformity to UK specification, and UK manuals & service guide, will then be transported by Zeebrugge Ferry to Transcars Collection Centre in Leigh-on-Sea in Essex. There it will be:

| - Given 12 months UK road tax. |
| - Given a UK registration document. |
| - All vehicles come complete with 12 months warranty valid anywhere in Europe. Any official Ford dealer will be pleased to help you. |
| - All this is provided at no extra charge. |
Once in the UK you will need to supply us with your insurance details so that we can apply for your UK registration document, this will take up to 10 working days for the DVLA to process. You may then collect your new car from the Collection Centre, or for an extra fee of between £200 & £300+VAT, it will be delivered to your home by transporter lorry.
Pay the VAT (17.5%) within 30 days of delivery to the UK. The necessary forms will be sent to you.
Your only OTRC (On the road costs) are the VAT & Road accident indemnity insurance.

Option 2: Collection from Brugge in Belgium.
Fly or sail over, settle balance of payment on car (less 13,000 Bfr Belgium collection discount), and take collection.
Driving times to Brugge :

Temporary registration, insurance, and transit plates will be arranged for you, before you arrive.
A certificate of conformity to UK requirements will be provided.
Advice on good hotels in Brugge, available if you would like to stay a night.

Once back in the UK you will be responsible for, registration (£25), road tax (£155), number plates (£15-£25), and accident insurance cover.
You have 30 days to pay the VAT in the UK at 17.5%.
